5 easy Easter activities for the office

You’re seeing bunnies and chocolate eggs everywhere, and airlines are putting flight prices up: it’s that time of the year again, spring is in the air.

Right now, some of us have an itch to organise an Easter office party, or even just a couple of fun activities. It doesn’t necessarily have to be exclusively about Easter, springtime is also a great excuse to take a break, engage in team-building activities, eat chocolate and have some fun.

So, for some great ideas to get the party started in your office, keep reading:

1. Easter Decoration

You can go for an Easter theme or break away from it and just call it a Spring Theme, depending on your - and your offices’ - personal taste and approach to this time of the year. Not everyone is keen on bunnies and eggs, so thinking ahead is a good idea.

Regardless of where you stand, you can never go wrong with colourful decor. It will brighten up people’s workstations and put them in the spirit of Easter and spring.

2. Giveaway Baskets

If the basket itself isn’t a feasible idea, goodie bags are perfectly acceptable, after all, inner beauty is what matters the most (and by inner beauty, I mean the food inside the goodie bags!)

Remember to take into account people's likes and allergies, to make for a truly thoughtful Easter giveaway. You can include dyed hard-boiled eggs, crisps, chocolate, biscuits, etc.

And if you’re craving some home-made goods, - or simply want to bring some variety to your basket - here’s a list of recipes to satiate your sweet tooth.

3. Go Egg Hunting!

Egg hunts don’t have to last more than 30 minutes, and they are also an excellent option as they often take people right back to their childhoods. If not, it will at least tap into their competitive side, especially because chocolate can be a powerful motivator.

You can have riddles for a difficult hunt, or skip them entirely for an easier one. Just make sure you do organise it well, keeping track of where the eggs are in a list, and also timing the whole thing.

If an egg hunt isn’t your office’s cup of tea – unlikely - some good alternatives are Easter bingo, Egg Toss, Egg Bocce Ball, etc. Read more about Easter games.

4. Easter Lunch

We spend a lot of our waking hours with our work colleagues, and in a way, that makes them our second family. So getting together for an Easter lunch can be enjoyable and help you bond.

Do plan ahead and keep the crazy English weather in mind. The idea of a picnic in the park may be tempting because of spring, but it isn't a completely safe option when you take this forecast into account.

You can never go wrong with taking your team to one of your local restaurants though!

5. On your marks - get set - BAKE!!
