World Cup: why business centres should embrace it

Getting involved in the World Cup can be good for business centres for many reasons, but a big one being the morale in the centre. With many tenants from different industries, it’s a struggle to help them engage, no matter how many ‘Beer Fridays’ and networking breakfasts you organise.

But, when national and international events occur, such as the royal wedding, Queen’s Jubilee, Olympics and World Cup, it’s a common festival which can bring people together. Big providers, including Regus, BE and i2 Offices are using the World Cup as an opportunity to reach out to the businesses in their buildings and encourage them to work and play together. BE, for example, are putting on screenings of matches from their business centres with pizza and different national beers (getting into the spirit of things!) for clients.

This could have long term benefits for business centres, too, as happy tenants are more likely to stay longer, which is both easier for the business centres, and builds up loyal customers. Also, networking amongst others in the building will not only build up a friendship between the different clients but between the client and the business centre’s team. This will lead to tenants feeling more able to talk to the team if they have questions or issues.

By making the effort to make a small difference during events like this, you can end up making a much bigger difference than you image. Get involved today – why not check out our last blog about ideas for events to hold at your centre by clicking here.
